Gearin' Up

I should’ve taken tomorrow off work. I had planned on spending this evening getting my gear ready for the big hike on Saturday, but I ended up spending a couple of hours designing a logo for the preschool that Traci is starting. I’m not totally enthused about her starting a business, considering the failure rate of most small businesses around here, but she is confident that it’ll work. And, since her dad is putting up all the startup money, I can’t complain too much.
Anyhow, I won’t have much time after work tomorrow to finish getting stuff ready. We’re leaving Price at 5:15 on Saturday morning, so I’ve got to hit the sack pretty early tomorrow night. There are five people who I’m certain will be going, another four who are maybes, and four others who said they might come but probably won’t show. It should be a fun convoy out into the San Rafael Swell in the dark of early morning, and it’ll probably be a weary drive home at dusk. I hope I’m up for a long day of grueling fun.

Good for Tracey….Allyn’s wife, Angie, does day care too. Is Tracey doing the day care in a location out side of your home?
I have not visited your site before, just typed ‘Udink’ in on a web search and there you were/are. You ‘clock’ many miles hiking and driving by the looks of your pictures. It is wonderful that you and your family do some of that together. Some of my boy’s favorite memories are the camping/fishing trips with Grandpa and Grandma Udink on their summer visits.
I am sure Grandpa Udink would enjoy many of those pictures of your hikes; do you show him any? He loved to just go for rides in the 70’s and 80’s but not to the places you have posted.
Warm wishes to you and your family; your boys are dog-gone cute!!! Greetings to your Mom and Samantha….
    Hugs, Aunt Luanne

  2. Yes, Traci’s doing the preschool outside of the home. Since I work from home, it would be too distracting for her to hold it here. 🙂
I haven’t shown Grandpa any of my pictures, though I ought to–I’m sure he’d like them. I started out doing a lot of driving around in the places where he used to go, but I’ve fallen in love with the San Rafael Swell so I spend most of my recreation time there now.
Nice hearing from you! I hope you all are doing well. 🙂
