I took a little spin up to Miller Flat Reservoir just for the hell of it this evening. I’ve been curious how much snow was left up there and how cold it’s been getting, and I was surprised that it was really nice up there. I guess I was expecting a winter wonderland still, but it was lush and green, and all the runoff was making for some nice waterfalls.
I was very disappointed to see that the Forest Service has turned every single camping spot into a pay site. I guess they think the addition of a concrete fire ring is worth $3/night–I’m not so sure it is. Granted, they’ve created some new spots that are really nice, but I rather enjoyed staying at the undeveloped sites.
