A Perfect Circle is now my favorite band of all time. I’ve been listening to them non-stop for the past few days, and it’s truly badass music. Maynard uses way different vocal styles than he does with Tool. Just because it’s so different that what I’m used to hearing come out of his mouth, I think I like better. My favorite songs are 3 Libras and Thinking of You.
The lyrics to APC’s songs don’t flow like most bands’. With most bands, the verses are made up of single sentences, and a sentence makes up a single line. But with APC, their words don’t usually form complete sentences, nor are there even lines or verses. Yet the lyrics make sense, as much as any band’s lyrics make sense, anyhow.
It’s difficult to describe (especially when you’re as drunk as I am now), so just go buy the album and find out for yourself. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
