I’ve seen deer gutted, but I’ve never taken down any big game before, and I’m not looking forward to gutting it when I do. I assume it’s like gutting fish, but on a bigger scale. Instead of inserting a finger and scraping the guts out, you insert both hands and cut parts out with a knife. Yummy. I found this site that describes the process in detail, so hopefully that’s enough for me to get by on in the field.
