Whatever happened to being politically correct? I was just reading an article in Time Digital about Napster, and it had this to say: “When a Napster member rips a song off a regular audio CD and adds it to her Napster playlist, it becomes available to anyone else in the network…” It used to be that whenever you were speaking about a generic individual, the pronouns “he” or “his” were very commonly used. Then, with all the women-folk complaining, it became “he/she” or “his/her.” Now, it’s ok to use just “her?” I don’t think so. Coincidentally, this article was written by a woman. Surprise, surprise.
