A Philadelphia police group numbering about 900 officers plans on picketing a Sting concert on November 14th due to his opposition to the death penalty for Mumia Abu-Jamal. Mumia was convicted of killing a police officer back in 1981, though many people believe he is innocent, including Sting, Rage, and the Beasties. This is the first I’ve heard about this Abu-Jamal guy, but the story sure is ironic. 🙂 Here‘s the story.
