Last week, a friend of mine (who uses the same ISP as I do) pointed out that we can see a lot of other people’s machines in the Network Neighborhood. I checked it out, and was shocked at what I saw. Several people had their entire hard drive shared as read-only, and a couple had them shared as full read-write! Being the honest guy I am, I haven’t done anything destructive, but someone else could if they were malicious enough. Even the people with read-only access are dumb…I could read all of their email, and access any other personal information on their machine. I have a few folders shared on my computer (mostly mp3s)…too bad only Airswitch subscribers can see it. 🙂
