Sixty-Eight More

Two of my friends on Facebook noted today that they were suffering from spring fever. I've been feeling the same thing for the past couple of days. I remarked to Traci yesterday that, at 5:00 PM, it was lighter outside than I've remembered it being for quite some time. We're only a few weeks on this side of the winter solstice, so it hasn't been terribly long since the days were this long last year, but the light just seems warmer to me now. I'm already gearing up for all the spring/summer/fall hiking trips that I want to do, most of which I'll never get around to accomplishing. Yesterday I used Google Earth to map out a hike through McCarty Canyon after coming across a horseback trip report through the area. I don't even remember how I initially discovered that trip report, but thoughts of the area have been keeping me occupied when I let my mind run idle as of late. Spring, hurry up!
