I downloaded and installed Internet Explorer 6 yesterday, and this morning I uninstalled it and restored IE5.5. It was causing Word and Excel to crash all the time. The only advantage over IE5 that I noticed was the ability to block cookies based on certain security settings–specifically, third-party cookies, such as those from porn sites that you probably don’t want on your computer. 😉
Until they come out with a newer version, hopefully with some bug fixes that will let me run it on my machine without any problems, I’ll just stick with IE5.5.
